Open RAN Security
Objective:
Open RAN Architecture involves multiple components and open interfaces, many of which may be provided by different vendors. Use of Open Interfaces has the potential to increase the risk of vulnerabilities and makes it challenging to identify and mitigate security threats. additionally, Open RAN Architecture relies on software-defined networks and network function virtualization technologies, which introduce new security risks associated with virtualization, such as software vulnerabilities, malicious code injection, and data breaches. This session will address how these security challenges are addressed by a suite of measures that ensure the integrity and confidentiality of network communications. On this session are, Nagendra Bykampadi-Head of Security Architecture & Standards at Rakuten Symphony and Richard Lopez, Sr. Strategic Architect at F5 networks.
Executive Speakers:
Nagendra Bykampadi - Head of Security Architecture & Standards, Rakuten Symphony
Richard Lopez - Senior Strategic Architect, F5
