This is the Year of Private Networks
Sign up for Daily CommTech Brief here.
Objective:
Private networks (4G LTE and 5G) are not restricted to the Telco domain. Other service providers, including Cable multi-service operators (MSOs) are investing in private 5G as offerings for their business customers. Cable operators are just as interested in new capabilities like networking slicing and edge computing to support business use cases on private wireless networks. These technologies allow Cable companies to provide high-performance connectivity tailored to the specific needs of each enterprise customer, enabling support for a wide range of use cases, from industrial IoT to autonomous vehicles. As the private 5G networks market grows, Cable companies, Telcos, and other service providers will play key roles in driving this growth.
